The term Giclée (pronounced “Zhee-clay”) refers to a fine art reproduction made with museum quality materials using a professional large-format ink-jet printer. A series of tiny spray nozzles emits millions of droplets per second and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting.
The Giclee Process
1.First the original painting is scanned or digitally photographed to produce a very high resolution file.
2.Then a proof is made and matched against the original.
3.After Lindsay approves the proof, the final image is printed on canvas and stretched around extra-wide stretchers,.
4.Prints on paper are made the same way, except that they need to be framed behind glass or Plexiglas (acrylic), as does any original art on paper.
Each piece, once purchased, is embellished by Lindsay to ensure that the vibrancy and colors are equivalent to the original.
Many canvas and paper sizes are available. Prices are determined according to the size you choose to order, ranging from $150 - $1000. Please click here to contact the offices of Lindsay Duff, to discuss sizing options and pricing details.
