FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What/Who inspired you to start your own business?

-I have always had a passion for bringing positive change to the lives of others by transforming their surroundings to suit their intentions. Because of my artistic background, I was inspired by the creative aspects of interior design.

What was the greatest challenge that you encountered along the way?

-The biggest challenge is finding venues and clients to design for. It can be time-consuming to market my business online and locally. All of that hard work pays off each time I find a new client, because I am so passionate about design and I love assisting the client in creating their dream space.

How would you describe your usual clients?

-Each client I have had is unique, and they all come to me with different desires and intentions. I enjoy working with all kinds of clients, but I find that--with the way things are right now--people are looking to create their spaces on lower budgets. This gives me more opportunities to use my ability to take current furnishings and repurpose them through the use of color, texture, spatial and energy design. I also enjoy the challenge of researching furnishings, curtains, rugs, etc. diligently throughout the design process in order to give clients the best possible deal.

What do you think is the most effective strategy to keep your customers happy and satisfied with your services?

-The most effective ways to give clients the best possible service is through listening, attention to detail, following up, and keeping mutual communication open. Knowing the right questions to ask a client is also crucial. It is important to me to get to the heart of what a client desires. I always make my client's wants and needs the focus of the conversation in order for us to set an intention for their space.

What was your most favorite and successful project?

-My favorite project was remodeling a home into a Spanish Classic. I love that style and I have a lot of experience in doing all types of mediterranean style homes. The interior decorating was a joy. Finding all of the pieces to make it come together--the furnishings, the right woods for the cabinets and floors, the colors, the fixtures, the lighting--was just amazing. Because of my background as an artist, it feels like a large painting, but on a three-dimensional scale. I'm very passionate and inspired by helping people create beautiful spaces that they love to live in.
